James – Cartilage Regeneration Spotlight
By Steven Meier
James came to Dr. Meier with a severe cartilage defect in his knee. The injury occurred while he was making a cut on the football field and hyperextended his leg.
James visited Dr. Meier for a cartilage regeneration procedure. At six months after surgery, James had very little pain or discomfort in the knee and was walking normally. Now, over a year later, he has achieved a remarkable recovery. Not only has James regained full strength and range of motion in the injured knee, he has also made an amazing return to college football, playing at the same level as before the surgery!
“Commonly, the goal of cartilage regeneration is to return the patient to comfortable walking. James, however, has far surpassed these expectations. His experience is a true story of what’s possible after ACI,” said Dr. Meier.
